I know that it is the middle of the 2nd nine weeks but I have decided to take a step back and redo my behavior plan. Going into the position in EB/D I had ideas of what I wanted my classroom management to look like and I thought about many different things. However, at the beginning I was shown the system that was in place at the school and thought that it might be easier on me and the kids if I stuck with it. It is a great behavior plan but it isn't working the way I want and need it to. Part of that could be because I haven't really jumped on it all the way, probably because deep down it isn't exactly what I want in MY room. :) Over the past few of weeks I have done a lot of thinking, a lot of wondering, and a lot of planning and I am ready to get things together MY way. I am a great teacher, that is why I was hired for the position I am in. I am getting a lot of things done with these boys- but I could be doing so much more. I don't need to compare myself to anyone in a competition aspect. I need to look to peers and mentors for guidance in the right direction but I have to take the steps I choose with MY own feet, and follow MY heart. I love finding ideas from other teachers and advice. I am now learning to take it and make it my own. :) I have attached the new daily bahvior sheet and a draft of my management plan. If you like any of the ideas please beg, borrow, and steal! :) It's the teachers' way of life. Please leave me comments with any suggestions or ideas you have! Thanks a bunch!
